Assistant City Clerk

The City of Coolidge has an opening for an Assistant City Clerk. This initially will be a part-time position and may increase to full time position. Starting hourly rate $17.00 per hour. Applicant must have previous business experience with bookkeeping and computer skills. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Waiting on customers at the window
  • Answer telephone and take messages
  • Collect Water & Sewer payments
  • Record in receipt book and enter into computer system
  • Preparation of Council material
  • Attending and recording Minutes for meetings
  • Prepare and send out notices

The applicant must be skilled in communicating orally and in writing and be able to maintain positive working relationship with officials and the general public.

The applicant must be able to attend meetings after regular business hours.  The City of Coolidge is an E.O.E. and drug-free workplace.  Pre-employment drug screening and background check will be required.


Water/Wastewater and Street Department Floater

The City of Coolidge has an immediate opening for a Water/Wastewater and Street Department Floater.  Job requirements consist of, but are not limited to, assisting with Street maintenance, Water/Waste Water facility upkeep, meter readings and repair of water and sewer lines.

Mechanical skills are necessary.  Must be able to operate tractor, backhoe and zero turn mower.  If you do not possess the skills listed, please do not apply.  Must have a valid driver’s license, submit to drug screening and background
