The Coolidge City Park got a major facelift recently with new playground equipment. Using Special Option Sales Tax funds, the city added new swings, sliding board, and other kid-friendly play equipment. In addition, the city upgraded the existing swing set.
The new playground sits on a 12 inch foundation of woodchips to prevent injuries. The park includes a wheelchair ramp to allow children with special needs to access and play on the playground. The swings and equipment comply with the American Disabilities Act specifications.
Coolidge Mayor Diane Causey and members of the city council hope that the new playground will bring many hours of family fun to the citizens of Coolidge. The playground is located in Coolidge Park 2096 Lily Avenue, Coolidge.
